About the Author

I will have to make a comparison with Lindsay's Adler The photographer's guide to posing techniques to flatter everyone.I you buy only one book of posing than I recommend you buying Lindsay's Adler book,in my opinion it is the bible of posing books.But if you want to work for advertisement industry,or get almost unlimited knowledge about posing tricks and how to build poses to convey all you ever wanted this book is really amazing.It is based on many years of experience.It is not technical for the photographer in terms of :what lens/aperture to use and so on(which you can find at Lindsay's book).I found the pictures less better than Lindsay's:example model's eyes were not lit,grainier,smaller,not all are as polished,with undisturbed clean line,for example badly cropped or obstructed jawline-which is sometimes justified by the purpose of accentuating intentions.On the good side it is concise,stating very clearly the ideas.All in all there is so much to learn,in that side it is a good investment.

wanted a book to show me different poses so that I can have a foundation to use during photoshoots. This book has plenty, I just wish it had more single person poses and wish it had newborn baby poses as well.
This is a great book for posing. In fact I brought it to my portrait photography class and my professor is going to buy one now. We both loved that it has side by side photos with the correct and incorrect ways to pose a subject.
